A particular friend of Cornwell's is extreme right wing Senator Orrin Hatch of Utah. Patricia Cornwell has even dedicated books to Senator Hatch ("The Body Farm", 1994) and to Barbara Bush, "with love" ("Point of Origin", 1998). Patricia Cornwell is obsessed with themes of violence and power. Backed by the Bushes and the modern US regime of power without restraint, Cornwell has turned her wealth and celebrity status, into a tool for the abuse of power with America's government and law enforcement agencies. Patricia Cornwell loves to be that uniquely powerful person who uses connections, influence and bribery to get very special favours. Cornwell's ultimate favour that she seeks and gets, is the favour of committing crimes and getting away with them, crimes that became ever more serious as time went on. FBI agents seem eager to share gifts and favours with Cornwell, the FBI employees all starry-eyed and ga-ga over the millionaire celebrity Cornwell as she buys their influence and protection. When Cornwell was beginning her series of crime novels at the beginning of the 1990s, she had also befriended an FBI agent in Richmond, Virginia, named Ed Sulzbach. Sulzbach who provided the introductions that led to Cornwell's long and deep involvement with that agency, and in particular at the FBI's famous Quantico training facility in northern Virginia. Of course the FBI understood that Cornwell was tied up as a close friend and money-whore for the Bushes. An even more powerful FBI contact cultivated by Cornwell was Tony Daniels, for a time the Assistant Director of the FBI in charge of Quantico. Patricia Cornwell's first well-known lesbian affair was with FBI agent Marguerite or "Margo" Bennett, who was teaching communications at Quantico. Margo Bennett was married to Eugene Bennett, another FBI agent, and had two children. Patricia Cornwell has admitted in interviews that she has given money and gifts and done favours for these two FBI agents - which is important as a part of Cornwell's broader history of bribing government officials, and as a part of Cornwell's influence at the FBI regarding the cover-up of her own crimes. The aftermath of Cornwell's 1991-92 affair with FBI agent Margo Bennett, was that the FBI careers of both Margo and her husband were ruined; their marriage and family life was destroyed; and Eugene Bennett was twice sentenced to prison, the second time in 1997. Eugene Bennett remains in prison to this day, after a kidnapping and gunfight as part of his attempt to murder Margo, out of anger at the aftermath of the Cornwell lesbian affair with Margo. Patricia Cornwell was named in the court papers as the person whose adulterous lesbian affair with Margo, was the cause of the destruction of their marriage, and also of pushing Margo's husband Eugene into a murderous rage. Cornwell had encouraged Margo Bennett to end her marriage, and also encouraged Margo to snitch out her husband to the FBI on vengeful claims of expense-padding, claims which led to the termination of not only the FBI careers of her husband Eugene, but also Margo herself, and this scandal led to the first of Eugene Bennett's prison sentences. Other people suffered, but the FBI and the Bush gang protected Cornwell, a pattern which would continue with Cornwell's later crimes. Another major scandal with an FBI agent, involved Cornwell's relationship with famous FBI behavioural scientist Bob Ressler. Ressler is the veteran profiler of numerous famous murderers, including killers Charles Manson, the Son of Sam and John Wayne Gacy, and Robert Kennedy's killer Sirhan. Cornwell was introduced to Ressler in 1990, with the idea that Cornwell would help develop a book on Ressler's life and work. After a number of meetings, it was clear the relationship between them was sour. Disliking each other, they did not pursue the book project further. During their meetings, Cornwell had demanded to see material that hadn't been seen before by the public. In 1995, the United States Department of Justice filed a lawsuit against Ressler, claiming that secret documents in FBI files had been illegally provided to Patricia Cornwell. They went after Ressler, but Cornwell's FBI "friends" left Cornwell herself untouched for the crime of receiving stolen FBI documents. Once again, the FBI and the Bush gang provided full protection for Cornwell, despite proof of Cornwell's direct involvement in illegal activity. This is just one of several scandals of theft of secret government documents and illegal government influence involving Cornwell. And for long-standing FBI veteran Ressler, the brief relationship with Cornwell, was for him, as for other victims of Cornwell, the encounter that caused dramatic harm and destruction to his life. It is a testimony to Patricia Cornwell's political power and connections with the Bushes and the US government, that despite her involvement in several huge legal and criminal scandals with FBI employees, Cornwell still has been able to maintain influence and access at the FBI! Quite amazing when you consider: Despite the fact Cornwell had an adulterous lesbian affair with one agent, and demolished the reputations or careers of several FBI employees, and despite the fact Cornwell was named by the FBI itself as a recipient of stolen FBI documents, despite the fact Cornwell admits to giving money, gifts and favours to FBI agents to acquire influence, Cornwell was nonetheless able to maintain highly privileged access to FBI employees, facilities and personnel. Cornwell long remained a highly welcome celebrity visitor at FBI's famous Quantico, attending confidential events with FBI agents, despite the fact she is a known security and criminal risk. With Cornwell having FBI "friends", the FBI has been stalling on known felony crimes by Cornwell, despite full FBI files on a long history of criminal scandals involving her for over a decade. Cornwell has also been able to access facilities at other confidential federal agencies as well, like the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms also known as ATF. With FBI introductions, Cornwell has also had excellent access to law enforcement agencies in Britain, where Cornwell's main publishers have their headquarters, and where the UK's Blair government has been submissive to the government of Cornwell's friend Bush. Billy Graham, Patricia Cornwell, and Cornwell's threats to murder Jews There is a more personal side to Cornwell's education in racism and anti-semitism, and Cornwell's willingness to threaten to murder Jews - far beyond the fact that Cornwell grew up in Ku Klux Klan territory in the racist South of the US, and whatever racism she got from her parents and childhood neighbours. Patricia Cornwell's teen-age years were spent under the foster care supervision of the famous preacher and anti-semite Billy Graham, during exactly the same era that Graham was recorded on tape at the US White House discussing his hatred of Jews with US President Richard Nixon. A summary of one section of those famous Watergate tapes, from an article by David Vest in CounterPunch, 5 March 2002: * * * But this conversation with Billy Graham is something else again. Here is the most admired and influential religious leader in America complaining to the president of the United States about the Jews and their "stranglehold" on the media, and blaming them for "all the pornography." . . . Nixon replies that he agrees but "can't say that" in public, Graham presses the point . . . Graham adds that while many Jews are friendly to him, "they don't know how I really feel about what they are doing to this country." * * * Billy Graham and his wife Ruth were the great formative figures of Patricia Cornwell's childhood. As the sources relate, Ruth Graham was the first great lesbian crush of the sexually awakening Patricia Cornwell. And now today, Patricia Cornwell carries out the Jew-hating desires of Graham, funding neo-Nazis, paying huge amounts of money to terrorize and threaten to murder Jewish victims. And Cornwell and her underlings show great sadistic pleasure in their Jew-hating activity. Although not widely realised, preacher Billy Graham is historically connected to the US Nazi movement, as part of the broad sweep of right-wing Christian preachers associated with the US Nazi Abraham Vereide, going back to the 1930s. After the fall of Adolf Hitler from power, the Vereide Nazi group developed the programme to bring Nazi ideas into effect in the US, in the dress of right-wing born-again Christians, using harmless-sounding names such as the political "prayer breakfast" movement. After the fall of Hitler, these US Nazis realized that their schemes would be more successful without the swastika, and with bible-thumping preachers subtly advancing a fascist agenda under a new "aggressive Christian" banner. And the President George Bush family, of course, made much of its early fortune financing the Nazis of Hitler's Germany in the wartime 1940s. Billy and Ruth Graham, longtime friends of the Bushes, introduced their foster child protégée, the little racist pervert Patricia Cornwell, into the circle of the Bush family. And then of course, when the first President George Bush was in office in 1989-1993, Patricia Cornwell was then groomed by the publishing industry to suddenly become a "famous novelist", whose huge new income would then be a vehicle for the media companies to funnel millions of dollars back to the Bushes and other US politicians. Thus, today, with the protection of the US government and media, Patricia Cornwell is allowed to terrorize and threaten to murder Jews to entertain herself, and to try to keep the truth about herself from becoming more publicly known. Patricia Cornwell - mentally disturbed since childhood Patricia Cornwell had a difficult childhood and comes from a family haunted by mental illness and destruction, which in turn has set the pattern for Patricia Cornwell's entire life. Both Patricia Cornwell and her mother have a history of being committed into mental hospitals for their psychological disturbances. Patricia Cornwell was abandoned in delayed sequence by both of her parents, first by her father, and then by her mother. Today, Patricia Cornwell is still filled with malice and hatred, and directs that hatred toward many people who have been close to her or come in contact with her. In talking to Cornwell at length, you find her quickly full of venom for what seems like most everyone in her past. The main character in Patricia Cornwell's novels is troubled by intimacy, but very attached to guns, death, power, and images of violence. This is also the nature of Patricia Cornwell herself in real life. Patricia was born on 9 June 1956, as Patricia Carroll Daniels, one of three children of Sam and Marilyn Daniels of Miami, Florida. (The last name 'Cornwell' is a name from Patricia's marriage, before Patsy recognized her lesbianism.) Patricia's father Sam Daniels was a lawyer, now deceased. Patricia spent her first few years in Florida, in a rocky home where Sam abused his wife. At the age of about 5 or 6, according to Cornwell, she was assaulted in a sexually molesting way by a Florida security guard. Around the time of the molestation incident, Sam Daniels abandoned Cornwell and the rest of the family. When Cornwell was about 7, her mother Marilyn Daniels, who sometimes worked as a secretary, moved the family to the small town of Montreat, North Carolina, not far from Asheville. Montreat did have one great celebrity in town, the famous Bible-thumping evangelist preacher Billy Graham, who was living there on an estate with his wife Ruth. Ruth Graham would later introduce Cornwell to the George Bush family, with whom the Grahams are closely connected, and Ruth's life would become the subject of Cornwell's first book in 1983. When Patsy was a little girl in North Carolina, it quickly became the turn of Patricia Cornwell's mother to abandon her. When Cornwell was 9, her mother, in the course of a series of nervous breakdowns, abandoned Patricia and her two brothers, onto the doorstep of Billy Graham's home. Although Cornwell was immediately shuttled off to a Christian foster home, it was the prosperous and influential Ruth Graham in her great estate house, that became the important adult image of Patricia Cornwell's childhood. Young Patricia or "Patsy" Cornwell would go in and out of foster homes, as her mother went in and out of mental disturbances. The teenage Patricia Cornwell, had not only been abandoned by both parents, but also felt rejected by Ruth Graham because Cornwell had been farmed out to lesser, smaller foster homes. Cornwell developed her own pattern of mentally disturbed and obsessive-addictive behaviour. The signs of Cornwell's fascination with crime and violence, were also showing as well at a young age. Teen-age Patricia Cornwell was anorexic, bulimic, self-starving, and full of self-hatred, but she did get through high school, and had some success in sports. In the 1970s, when time came to go to college, Patricia was sent off to a small Christian Bible school, King College in Bristol, Tennessee near the Virginia border. There at King College, Patricia had a total emotional collapse, dropped out of school, and had one of the worst phases of her bulimic mental illness. Patricia was then committed to a mental institution for two months, to pull herself back from the edge of starving and vomiting herself to death. After a while getting herself back together, Patricia Cornwell, showing an early ability to influence other people, met someone who was able to wrangle her an admission to Davidson College, whose entrance requirements normally wouldn't allow for a failed dropout like Patricia. At Davidson, Cornwell studied English, and attached herself strongly to several English faculty members. Already, Patricia made an obsessive project of influencing those who held some kind of power that could be used for Patricia's purposes. One of the English professors was named Charles Cornwell, 17 years older than Patricia. Not long after graduating from Davidson in 1979, Patricia married this Charles Cornwell, and so obtained the last name that she still uses. An acknowledged lesbian today, Patricia now speaks of her ex-husband as a conquest, one more sign of Patricia's power at a young age. In interviews Patricia talks about her seduction of this long-time bachelor professor, as something in which the older man had no choice. Patricia Cornwell's origins are in the right-wing, Bible-belt, conservative South of the United States, and Cornwell's political and social views are clearly evolved from those same Bible-quoting, redneck, "white trash" and racist-leaning origins. Patricia Cornwell shows the full spectrum of southern stereotype values, the obsessive talk of law 'n' order and putting people in their place, Cornwell identifying herself with the white police officers who can shoot people dead. And at the same time, Patricia Cornwell may be the ultimate representative of Southern good ol' boy (or girl) corruption. Cornwell preaches publicly about cops and law 'n' order, while at the same time using every crooked courthouse angle and bribed public official to get things done like she wants, outside the law. Cornwell's goal was to be the kind of Southern white crook who gets rich enough to buy the whole town. And eventually, Patricia Cornwell was able to buy the whole state of Virginia, including its governor, its judges, its police, and even the local FBI, enabling Cornwell to commit whatever crimes she wanted. Interestingly, Cornwell herself admits that before she realized she was a lesbian, she also was the typical gay-bashing, lesbian-hating, white Southern girl. It seems that it was not till the later 1980s, when Cornwell's marriage fell apart, that Patricia Cornwell's lesbianism finally flowered; in the 1990s Cornwell was publicly talking about her lesbianism in interviews. Before then, Cornwell was as willing to spew homophobic insults and venom at lesbians, just like other Southern women of her background. Today, Cornwell rather soft-pedals her lesbianism, just like she hides her relationship to the Bushes. The Bush gang, the big companies and Cornwell all feel that Cornwell will sell more books if these facts are hidden. Cornwell can look more like a "dyke" when you see her in person, but they try and photograph her in a more feminine way for her books and public appearances. Cornwell's early years also showed the self-hating, addictive-obsessive involvement with alcohol and drugs that has afflicted most of her life. Over the years, Cornwell has gotten an extra kick by mixing the drugs prescribed for her mental problems with alcohol, like her sometimes favoured alcohol - Prozac cocktail. Patricia Cornwell's alcohol problem seems to be permanent. Her psychiatric label finally settled down into that of being manic-depressive, for which Cornwell has taken lithium. Patricia Cornwell is acknowledged by the people around her as involved with the expensive drugs that she can easily afford. At times Cornwell does look like the longtime drug user and drinker, still an unhappy, beat-up, redneck woman, visibly someone who has been drunk and high and messed up on pills far too many times in her life. Cornwell the lesbian vs. Cornwell the Southern white Christian Recognizing her own lesbianism did not liberate Patricia Cornwell from her mental demons. The self-discovery of her own lesbian identity did not bring her peace. For the mentally unstable and insecure Cornwell, still attached to the white Southern and "Bible belt" mentality, becoming an active lesbian just shifted the way that the lines of pain and torment were drawn inside her head. The pain and conflict of Patricia Cornwell about her adult sexual identity, is a key to the psychology of Cornwell's foray into real life (and not just fictional) crime. Very sadly, Cornwell's lesbianism did not go along with Cornwell acquiring other progressive and positive features to her personality. Patricia Cornwell did not move out to San Francisco or some other progressive place, and start hanging out with cool, progressive, open-minded people. Instead, Patricia Cornwell stayed in the South, with all its overtones of Christian, right-wing, anti-gay, and conservative mentality. Though many gay people do all right in the South, it does take some inner self-esteem and confidence to be gay, while living in that gay-bashing redneck Bible belt. And self-esteem and inner confidence are things that Patricia Cornwell does not have. The tension inside Cornwell, between her lesbianism on the one hand, and her right-wing Southern Christian affiliations on the other, pushed Cornwell into trying to become a lesbian caricature of the right-wing, bigoted, powerful, and crooked Southern male. Far more significant than the male-style clothes and shoes Cornwell began to wear, Patricia Cornwell also began trying to make herself into a male-style, right wing, neo-fascist crooked bigot. Like all the would-be Adolf Hitlers of the world, the mentally insecure Cornwell began craving criminal power over other people, to hide her own feelings of inadequacy and of not belonging anywhere. For Patricia Cornwell, the key moment in her life, as is obvious from Cornwell's talk about it, took place when she had been that 9 year old and unwanted little girl. First abandoned by her father a few years earlier, and then abandoned by her mother, Cornwell was dumped at the door of a great grand Southern home, the home of the most famous people in the entire area. There, Cornwell saw the famous Ruth Graham, Ms. White Southern Bible herself, opening the door to a heaven in which Cornwell could never belong. Emotionally, Ruth Graham was the first great love-object for the young lesbian Patricia Cornwell. Patricia Cornwell still envies that house, that woman. She wants to be a part of a house and life like that, but yet knows she can never fit there. Patricia Cornwell, world famous celebrity lesbian, may now be richer even than Ruth and Billy Graham ever were, but as a lesbian, Cornwell will never be the admired, securely situated White Christian Southern Woman. And despite Cornwell's having become a Rich White Southern Powerful Person, she still is unable to be, or to possess, a true Ruth Graham in her life. Cornwell feels forever unworthy of that great Southern lady at the door. Cornwell remains trapped in her own tortured mind: self-hating, lonely, thrown out of one family home, and not worthy to enter another. Patricia Cornwell has locked herself in a mental trap from which she cannot escape. This conflict inside Cornwell, between being a celebrity lesbian, and trying also to be a right-wing, man-style, white Christian Southern Republican, is an endless war in Cornwell's brain. It is the recipe of Cornwell's self-destruction and psychological doom. It has sunk Cornwell's ability to relate to others with any comfort or authenticity or good will. Cornwell feels in advance that everyone will abandon her, just like her father, and mother, and Ruth Graham. Cornwell never stops fearing that the lesbian lovers who enjoy her money and favours now, secretly despise her, just like so many other people. Cornwell knows that the cops and judges and politicians that she has bought, the lawyers and FBI agents she has paid, they will all abandon her in the end, scorning Cornwell with contempt, despite all the money she paid, all the favours she did them. Patricia Cornwell gave up being heterosexual, but she did not give up the rest of the fantasy package, of being the great Southern White Christian who is admired by nearly everyone around, like Ruth and Billy Graham. This is why Cornwell is so utterly fanatic and ferocious about her right-wing Republican politics, about her obsession with power, trying to become the most powerful Southern white person in America. Cornwell's neurotic emotions drive her on to seek ever more power, in the hope she will finally have enough sheer might, to make her Southern redneck fantasy come true. But though Cornwell can buy judges and politicians and FBI agents, even though Cornwell can purchase terror and destruction for other people, Cornwell still remains helpless to buy any answer to her emotional pain. In the same way that Adolf Hitler tried to be much more obsessively and purely German than the Prussian aristocrats of the Kaiser era, even though Hitler could never be a German like them; Patricia Cornwell is trying to be more right-wing, more conservative, more attached to the mechanisms of government power, than the Christian white Southern women and men whom Cornwell can never be, no matter how hard she tries, no matter how rich she gets. Cornwell's money and power just make everything worse. Cornwell became a monster. She's the big Republican campaign contributor. She's friends with the governor, he's sleeping in her mansion. She's friends with the President of the United States. She's friends with the big right-wing senators. She can buy FBI agents and U.S. federal judges. The whole Bush Republican party, and the Democrats too, are glad to take Cornwell's money. Patricia Cornwell talks politics like an ultra-right-wing extremist, forever attaching herself to cops and other symbols of government power. But at the same time Cornwell knows that all these right-wing politicians secretly scorn her. Like the right-wing Judge Robert Payne, who played the court fraud game with Cornwell, but still sneered at her, laughing with the lawyers that she was "our dyke bitch Cornwell" as the judge enacted the favours for which Cornwell was paying. In the months leading up to the 2004 election, John Ashcroft's Justice Department did Cornwell the favour of stalling Cornwell's criminal prosecution for the duration of Bush's re-election campaign and his own time in office, but it probably made the Bible-reading and anti-gay Ashcroft feel a bit sick to be covering up for the famous celebrity lesbian, regardless of how long she's been friends with the George Bush family. And Cornwell knows too, that she cannot be fully a part of America's largely progressive lesbian community, because she is funding and backing and befriending all these anti-gay goons of the Bush Republican party. Cornwell knows that most other lesbians despise her for this, and despise her even more, for the long series of wrongs Cornwell has committed, for all Cornwell's hatreds and deviousness and her neo-Nazi scum behaviour. Rich as Cornwell is now, and full of hatred and conflict inside of herself, the drugs and alcohol weighing on her, Cornwell has no way of knowing which of the people around her are just out to get her money. And given that she has committed such despicable crimes, why would anyone really like Patricia Cornwell anyway? Marriage, rape, a boob job, and lots of dead bodies As a result of Cornwell's careful nurturing of her teachers at the Davidson College English department, after her 1979 graduation one of the teachers at Davidson helped Cornwell to get a job with the Charlotte Observer, a local North Carolina newspaper. Cornwell became a crime reporter, her first major adult involvement with the worlds of law enforcement, criminals and corpses. During this period of her life, Cornwell completed her pursuit of her ex-teacher Charles Cornwell and married him. Also, and very significantly, Cornwell says that while she was crime reporting in North Carolina, she was raped by a highly powerful male figure in law enforcement. Cornwell will still not reveal the name of the man she says raped her. This is a very highly significant story told by Cornwell, far beyond the fact that it is yet another case of the young Cornwell being sexually molested. It is really interesting that now, with Patricia Cornwell so incredibly rich, and so incredibly well-connected to government and law enforcement, even having a gaggle of FBI agents being submissive to her, Patricia Cornwell still speaks in a sort of fear about this rapist from long ago. With Cornwell still refusing to name this "powerful man in law enforcement", she is, in a way, still honouring the rapist. This little story, in microcosm, contains Cornwell's view of how America really works. The way that Cornwell tells it is very significant. Patricia Cornwell has not become a role model for other rape victims, someone who brings hope to other women. With Cornwell's $125 million fortune and powerful connections, surrounded by guns and bodyguards, one would expect that Cornwell would be finally able to confront this rapist from her past, and make the evildoer confront his crime. But no. The wealthy Cornwell speaks of this rapist as somehow still able to get away with his crime, someone of whom she still has fear, because he is a "powerful man in law enforcement". The moral of her story, in other words, is that if you have the power of government at your disposal, you can get away with rape. Or other serious crimes. And indeed Patricia Cornwell has become someone like that rapist. Patricia Cornwell herself now has those powerful connections in law enforcement and government: the Bush family, an assistant FBI director, a federal judge who will "bend" the Constitution for her. Patricia Cornwell is that person, now, who can rape someone else and get away with it. Patricia Cornwell, feeling herself as the victim of evil, she feels the answer to that, is to become so powerful she can commit evil crimes herself. And to prove it, she did commit these crimes, paying for thugs to threaten to jail and murder someone, subverting the federal courts and even the Constitution of the United States. Cornwell commits crimes of neo-Nazi terrorism, counting on her whole set of political and law enforcement connections to keep her safe. In Cornwell's mental world, the thing that counts is power - not justice, not goodness, but naked, Nazi-style power. The power of money, the power of guns, the power of the government. Cornwell still is in awe of this "powerful man in law enforcement" who supposedly raped her. Cornwell does not seek justice about the crime; she remains in awe. And now Patricia Cornwell is the one openly bragging about how she can get away with murder. Cornwell worked at the Charlotte Observer until 1981. Then, her husband had a dramatic change of heart, shortly after marrying the strange Cornwell. Yet another example of Cornwell's habit of totally demolishing people's former lives after they meet her. Charles Cornwell abandoned his cosy career as a college English professor, and decided to become a Protestant clergyman. Patricia Cornwell, trying then to be the good Southern wife, gave up her career to move to Richmond, Virginia, where Charles Cornwell began a long program of seminary studies. It was in the context of Patricia Cornwell's relationship with Charles Cornwell, that Patsy had the first of several plastic surgery procedures, several on her breasts but also eventually on her nose too. Apparently the initial impulse to change her boobs, was Patricia attempting to cater to the desires of her husband the Protestant preacher-to-be. Patricia Cornwell took this period of sudden unemployment, as the chance to write her first book, a biography of preacher Billy Graham's wife, Ruth, who had opened the door to gaze on little abandoned child Patricia so many years earlier. Ruth was at first opposed to co-operating on the book, but finally gave in to Cornwell's persistent sales pitches. That was a yielding that Ruth Graham very much regretted. Ruth came to feel very exploited by Patricia, and things got very hostile before the book project was finished. The book was published in 1983 as "A Time for Remembering". The book led to estrangement between Patricia Cornwell and Ruth Graham for eight years. While Patricia's husband Charles was getting his career as a preacher underway, Patricia began to once again pursue her ghoulish interest in cops, crime and corpses. Strange creature that Cornwell is, she began to hang around the Richmond morgue, and made the acquaintance of Virginia government forensic pathologist Marcella Fierro in 1984. Fierro would be the role model for Cornwell's main character Kay Scarpetta in the crime novels that Cornwell would start to publish in the 1990s. Fierro, like much else in Cornwell's writing, is significant also for being part of the general truth that Patricia Cornwell has a hard time being truly original. Most all of Patricia Cornwell's writing is imitating some person or event or document, to a greater or lesser degree. Sometimes the imitation is loose. Sometimes, it is downright plagiarism. But Cornwell's writing is very consistently based on a copy of things that Patricia Cornwell has come across. Sometimes Patricia Cornwell changes things around, sometimes she copies and imitates things with hilarious obviousness. Sometimes people are pleased to be copied by Patricia Cornwell, pleased like Marcella Fierro. But the medical examiner's office is also where employees have given sworn statements about Cornwell distributing significant bribes and gifts. Sometimes, people get ticked off by being used by Cornwell. And Cornwell enjoys the chance to be a thug. If anyone gets annoyed at her, Cornwell is willing to spend huge amounts of money to try to crush and destroy and silence them. Cornwell will pay bribes, hire people to threaten to illegally jail and kill people, Cornwell has no scruples about the method. It is Cornwell's way, the way of ruthless power, the way of someone with a lot of money and crooked political connections and a criminal frame of mind. It is the way that makes Cornwell feel very powerful for a moment or two. More about this below. A while after having met Marcella Fierro, Patricia Cornwell finally got herself into a job at the medical examiner's office, working on computers there and eventually participating much more broadly in the coroner's full range of activities, Cornwell relishing her opportunity to put her hands upon the endless stream of dead bodies. Cornwell worked there from 1985 to 1991, gathering the material that would be the basis of her early books and the start of her great wealth. As Cornwell's experience with corpses increased, her marriage with Charles began to fade. Discussions of Charles' possible transfer to Texas for a preacher's position there, were the catalyst for separation and divorce for Cornwell at the end of the 1980s. Patricia Cornwell then stayed on in Richmond, beginning her adventures of lesbianism and also the route to literary stardom. Violating murdered children, and filing a lawsuit against Madonna The year 1991 was the turning point for Cornwell's writing career. Of course, Cornwell's writing career took off, just as her friend the first President George Bush was in the White House. Cornwell's second book and her first crime novel, "Postmortem" appeared, became very successful, and started Cornwell off on her $125 million fortune. The New York publishing conglomerates began hyping the books of Patricia Cornwell, just as her friend George Bush senior was President of the United States. This is no coincidence. This is how the game works, in today's collusion of media companies and the US government. Cornwell was the perfect candidate, the perfect little whore, to be packaged into the new "famous writer", and be a vehicle for funnelling money back to the Bushes and the other politicians who run America for the big corporations. The publishing and media companies, who made Cornwell a "star", have boards of directors all intertwined with the largest and richest corporations who run the United States and its military and war-making machine. They need tools like Cornwell as way to funnel profits back to the Bushes and others who represent the corporations. Cornwell knows the rules - they made her a multi-millionaire so she would funnel money back to Daddy Bush and his family and friends. The attraction for Cornwell is that as long as she keeps the bribery money flowing to the Bushes and their ilk, Cornwell can feel free to behave like a total criminal pervert. That first crime novel solidified the pattern of Cornwell's not being fully original in her writing. "Postmortem" was Cornwell's fictional re-hash of the South Side Strangler murders that bedevilled Richmond in the late 1980s. The copying of real life murder events of real people in the neighbourhood, making money from their tragedy, so offended one local Richmond bookseller, Charles Wilson of Volume I, that he refused to stock the book even as Cornwell was starting to get famous. It seems as well that Cornwell's book inspired another murder in Sarasota, Florida, where police felt the murder was a copycat of Cornwell's gruesome book. "Postmortem" was quickly followed with the publication of another novel with the same main character Kay Scarpetta, "Body of Evidence". This latter book was, of course, again based on a real life murder investigation, that had taken place in Virginia's 'Tidewater' or southeast coastal region. "Body of Evidence" has a mentally disturbed character named Al Hunt who commits suicide. Al Hunt, however, is a real person. Al Hunt is a Wall Street Journal employee who had met Cornwell briefly, and refused to give her a job. "Body of Evidence" is also important in another way. "Body of Evidence" was the occasion of a bogus lawsuit filed by Patricia Cornwell against pop star Madonna, which Cornwell filed to get publicity for herself. Madonna had a movie called "Body of Evidence" totally unrelated to Cornwell's book. Titles are not copyrightable under American law; legally, anyone can publish a book or movie with the same title on a different subject. Cornwell filed the suit anyway, a lawsuit which ended with just a little note inserted in text in Madonna's film, saying that the film had nothing to do with Patricia Cornwell. As Cornwell quickly developed a reputation around Hollywood as someone disgusting (more about that below), Madonna was no doubt glad to disassociate herself from the strange right-wing Cornwell with her fetish for dead bodies. Even though Patricia Cornwell wasn't working at the medical examiner's office anymore, she continued to maintain relationships there through gifts, bribes and favours, as has been documented in court affidavits. In violation of proper autopsy procedures and the rights of US citizens, Patricia Cornwell, novelist looking for material to copy and steal, was given open access to confidential facilities, and to secret and confidential government files. Patricia Cornwell committed one of her gravest crimes while kibitzing there with the Virginia coroners. She stole the private autopsy reports of the murdered children of two families, the victims in the well known New Kent Parkway rest stop murders of October 1989. Patricia Cornwell copied, essentially verbatim, the secret autopsy reports on victims Annamaria Phelps and Daniel Lauer, ruthlessly exploiting this tragedy to create Cornwell's third book, "All That Remains", in 1992. Patricia Cornwell, completely illegally, violated the privacy of the murdered children of the two families, without any permission or compensation. The plagiarism is ice-cold crystal clear, no shadow of a doubt about it, and confirmed by expert witness written statement. Anybody who reads the material in the autopsy report, or looks at the passages in Cornwell's novel, reaches the same conclusion. The autopsy reports in this case were private, and never entered into public record; under law, the only persons allowed to see them were official investigators, and the victims' families. Yet they were cheerfully handed to Cornwell as a reward for her bribes and gifts and favours. Cornwell's violation of the privacy of the bodies of these murdered children, greatly magnified the horror of the murders to the grieving families. The families had to suffer seeing Cornwell's face all over the place, a wealthy celebrity, making money upon their children's murder, stealing their confidential family medical documents from a government office and copying it into her supposedly "fictional" novel. Cornwell has a chirpy response to the proof of plagiarism when you confront her. She says her books are not "based on" real events and documents, just "inspired by", as if that explains away direct verbatim plagiarism and copying. Cornwell, with her political and FBI connections, her bribery and gifts to cops and officials, and her celebrity status and sudden wealth, had very quickly became a powerful figure in Virginia. This enabled her to steamroll people, like the grieving families with the murdered children. Nonetheless, with the evidence being so blatant of Cornwell's crimes, one Virginia lawyer finally did have a momentary flash of courage, and prepared a lawsuit against Cornwell on behalf of the grieving families. That lawsuit was finally filed in 1998. For her own defence, Cornwell was introduced to an oily, lying, good ol' boy stereotype of a Southern lawyer, Conrad Shumadine of Norfolk's Willcox & Savage law firm, a lawyer with a reputation as a "sleazebag" but with excellent connections to Virginia judges. The case against Cornwell by the grieving families continued for a short time, enabling the lawyers to rack up some good-sized fees. The law was clear, the facts were clear, Cornwell was guilty as hell, and the case made headlines. But then the case suddenly disappeared, very mysteriously. All of a sudden the judge reversed himself, and dismissed the whole case, leaving the families with nothing. The lawyer for the grieving families, Scott Crowley, himself now evacuated from Virginia, is very clear in his opinion about what happened: Shumadine used Cornwell's money to bribe the judge and make the case go away. This seems to have given Patricia Cornwell a thrill of power, buying a phony court "victory" for herself despite the evidence. It must have been a very satisfying and erotic pleasure for Cornwell, because shortly afterwards, Cornwell spent a half million dollars to do it again, paying for court fraud in a federal case involving the U.S. Constitution. This judge in the 1998 case on Cornwell's violation of murdered children, was just a local Virginia judge, but this case led to Cornwell's willingness to spend money in the later court fraud scandal with federal Judge Robert Payne. And it was the same Norfolk lawyer, Conrad Shumadine - whom Judge Payne calls "our boy Shumadine" - who is a key legal figure in the proven federal crimes for which Cornwell now faces possible indictment. Cornwell, Hollywood, Demi Moore, and Cornwell Chasing Jodie Foster Being rich increased Cornwell's opportunity for weird and criminal behaviour. Of course, there was all the buying favours with officials and stealing government files going on with Cornwell, as described above. Her wealth was the beginning of Cornwell's long history of gifts, bribes and favours to help manipulate FBI agents and other government personnel. But there was also Cornwell's personal weirdness, growing ever deeper. A 1994 article by Joan Edwards in Richmond magazine, gave a glimpse of how unpleasant it is to be around Patricia Cornwell. "I am very moved" by violence, declares Cornwell. Cornwell also admits she has a "tyrannical streak", and is obsessively seeking to control and dominate others. Cornwell is rich, but clearly miserable, even desperate. "I feel like I am in prison so much of the time," says Cornwell, finding no way out of the ugly captivity in her own tormented mind. She can't succeed relating to people, nor even to animals. "I failed at even having dogs," says Cornwell. Cornwell's mind is filled with dead bodies, and her real life is filled with guns, "a lot of guns" as USA Today said as far back as 1992, just when Cornwell started to have free money to spend. In August of 1992, Sandra McElwaine of Harper's Bazaar, wrote disturbingly how Cornwell frequently carries a gun from room to room even inside her own home. With money, Cornwell started to hire staff and bodyguards, but ended up hating many of them. One female employee, Cynthia Stevens, sued the lesbian Cornwell for sexual harassment; the case, of course, disappeared. Patsy Cornwell is forever a misfit, expressions of hatred coming quickly to her lips, Cornwell quoted in interviews defining former close friends as "evil". With her wealth, the alcohol and drugs bedevilled Cornwell even more. On 10 January 1993, in a post-New Year's drinking binge in California, Patricia Cornwell flipped a rented Mercedes while Cornwell was drunk driving. Luckily, no one was killed, and the sturdy Mercedes saved Cornwell. Cornwell was sentenced to a long term of probation, not quite being able to bribe her way totally out of that one. But California is not Virginia. As Cornwell's crime novels started to sell, the possibility naturally arose of making movies out of some of them. Cornwell herself had started to spend time in California to taste some of the glamorous life there. But Los Angeles was an emotional disaster for Cornwell, and she wound up retreating back to crooked, redneck, bribery-laden Virginia, where Cornwell felt she knew how to play the power games. Cornwell's agents put together some deals for possible movie projects, but Cornwell herself was a major saboteur of these projects. Cornwell demanded too much control over how the movies and scripts would be done, and people saw no reason to do things Cornwell's way. Cornwell's particular style of being petty, devious and domineering did not impress the California crowd, plus they could see that Cornwell was a total ignoramus about movies anyway. Cornwell was a big deal back in Virginia, but in Hollywood she was just another woman who had written a few books. One of the actresses who briefly considered a role as Cornwell's main fictional character was Demi Moore. Cornwell later bragged about being in a hot tub with Demi and smoking cigars. Now, Demi Moore and Bruce Willis are part of the long list of people Cornwell hates. The most bizarre episode from Cornwell's California jaunts, was her emotional crush upon actress Jodie Foster, who was also considered as a potential lead actress in a Cornwell movie script. Cornwell had a crush on Foster, and pursued her obsessively in a weird, stalking way that must have been very disturbing to Foster. This is described in a January 1997 Esquire article by Jeanette Wells, "Jodie, Jodie, Jodie". Cornwell and Jodie Foster met briefly, but the meeting did not go well. Foster seems to have found Cornwell somewhat disgusting, and did not want to pursue the project further. Cornwell kept pursuing Foster, attaching herself to Jodie Foster's former tutor Irene Brafstein, after learning that Brafstein and Foster had remained friends. Just like with the FBI agents, Cornwell began offering sizeable bribes and gifts with the idea that Brafstein would induce Jodie to meet Cornwell again and then they could start a relationship. Cornwell's wealth, along with her success at bribing FBI agents and government officials, had given her a delusion of being powerful enough to have anything she chose to acquire, including Jodie Foster. It apparently took a good while for Cornwell to realize that her manipulation games with Brafstein wouldn't work, and that Jodie Foster would never be Cornwell's lesbian lover. The rejection by Jodie Foster, and the humiliating publication of Cornwell's pursuit of her, no doubt made Cornwell even more bitter toward the world, more desperate to seek power in other ways, to compensate for Cornwell's self-disgust. As the 1990's came to a close, her Hollywood foray a failure, Cornwell went back to identifying Virginia as her main home, though she travelled among several places and in fact was at home nowhere. She deepened the political and campaign contributions that made her more of a political force with Republicans and especially in Virginia, befriending Virginia's Governor of 1997-2001, Jim Gilmore. Gilmore, right-wing friend of George Bush, ended up renting Cornwell's Virginia mansion and sleeping in the same bedroom where Cornwell had trysted with lesbian lovers. Cornwell's trademark, that of always manipulating people through use of either power or bribery, constantly shows itself. The bribes and gifts and favours that had made the Virginia FBI establishment submissive to Cornwell, was something Cornwell tried to use with reporters as well. Judy Bachrach wrote in the May 1997 Vanity Fair about Cornwell's offer to give her special favours if Bachrach wrote a good submissive article about her. That approach didn't work with Bachrach, but it did work in a very important way, with Bill McKelway of the Richmond Times-Dispatch, a right wing Republican newspaper with close personal and political ties to Patricia Cornwell. Bill McKelway began writing articles praising Cornwell's wealth and power as far back as the mid-90s, but McKelway was kept on a leash and did not having good access. McKelway knew he had to be nice to Cornwell, because she was friends with Gov. Gilmore, who was good friends with the newspaper's owners, and so on: It was the whole good ol' boy network that Cornwell owned in Virginia. In the court fraud scandal for which Patricia Cornwell now faces indictment, one of the major events in that scandal was the publication of a false "news" story on the front page of the Times-Dispatch, written by McKelway at the request of Cornwell's lawyers. McKelway, eager to do a favour for the Cornwell gang, and also to please his bosses who had met with Cornwell. The Richmond Times-Dispatch is the flagship paper of the right-wing Media General Corporation, one of the large US media conglomerates very much tied to the crimes of the George Bush family. The Richmond Times-Dispatch editorial board met with Patricia Cornwell, and in recognition of her close financial support of the Bushes, committed to a policy of helping Cornwell commit crimes and cover up for her life. A low-status reporter at the Time-Dispatch, this Bill McKelway, was eager to please both Cornwell and his bosses who had met with Cornwell. At the request of the Cornwell lawyers, McKelway fabricated a phony interview and phony quotations about me, the author of this Cornwell biography - Even though McKelway never met me and never interviewed me. McKelway composed the false story exactly along the lines dictated by Cornwell's lawyers. This phony front-page newspaper article was then used a few weeks later as the main "evidence" in the fake federal court trial purchased by Cornwell. McKelway's phony "interview" was used by a federal judge as the basis to immediately ban my freedom of speech, within minutes after the Cornwell gang served the lawsuit papers, before I even had time to read the legal papers I was given. This ultimately led to my needing to take political refuge in Europe, and publishing this biography of Cornwell where the US government cannot jail or murder me. Today, Bill McKelway, the sleazy little reporter eager to kiss up to Cornwell's lawyers, may face a federal indictment for the crime of fabricating false evidence in a federal court case, yet another person whose life and reputation forever changed by his contact with Patricia Cornwell. A Short Summary of the Patricia Cornwell Court Fraud Scandal The Patricia Cornwell court fraud scandal for which she and so many others face possible criminal charges, is a quite large scandal that is more fully detailed elsewhere. To complete the biographical picture of Cornwell, and to give a short summary of the crimes for which Patricia Cornwell and her gang face indictment, here is a quick overview. At the end of the 1990s, Cornwell was still writing books, books which according to many critics had been sinking in quality since those first few volumes. Even with all her access to FBI facilities and papers, and all those FBI agents enjoying the favours that Cornwell could provide, Cornwell was still having a hard time writing the stream of books for which she was being paid. Even the infamous Federal Judge Robert Payne, who faces possible impeachment for court fraud with Cornwell's lawyers, has declared that Cornwell's writing was "a load of crap". "Load of crap" or not, Cornwell's books could still be hyped and sold by the millions. And even if Cornwell was blatantly plagiarising other people, as was proven in the 1998 lawsuit against her, she could use her political connections, her willingness to buy officials and judges, and her stable of submissive FBI agents to get her out of a scrape. Cornwell definitely would pay big for other people to do her dirty work. This court fraud scandal started out as yet just one more of Cornwell's likely plagiarism and copying episodes. In the later 1990s, Cornwell's books were being published by the multinational Penguin Group conglomerate, whose New York lawyer, Alexander Gigante, has been very eager to cover up for Cornwell's character, so as to try and prop up her book sales. Penguin had another author, neither rich nor famous, namely myself, Dr Les Sachs. I was best known for my own journalism on American corruption, a Penguin paperback on sleazy techniques of the auto sales industry, How to Buy Your New Car for a Rock-Bottom Price. In late 1997, I completed a mystery crime novel, "The Virginia Ghost Murders", the manuscript of which I showed to the editors at Penguin - who turned out to be Patricia Cornwell's editors. I also showed the book to a literary agency, International Creative Management or ICM - and ICM's Esther Newberg in that office, turned out to be Patricia Cornwell's agent. My book, "The Virginia Ghost Murders", had a very unique plot. Penguin didn't publish it, and in late 1998, I published the book himself, aware that hardly any first-time novelists were being published anymore. My book got very good reviews, and began to sell well for a small press novel. In December of 1999, Patricia Cornwell and Penguin published a notice that Cornwell would have a new book in 2000, called "The Last Precinct". The plot of Cornwell's new book, as announced, sounded just like the plot of my book, "The Virginia Ghost Murders". I already knew about Cornwell's sleazy reputation, so I began to write bombastic, teasing letters to Cornwell and the publisher, trying to get them to not rip off my book too much. Penguin wrote back to brag that if Cornwell wanted to copy my book ideas, there wasn't much that I could do about it. I wrote more letters, and, in a way, I won my battle. Cornwell and Penguin announced a delay of publication of several months, while Cornwell re-wrote her manuscript of "The Last Precinct". Cornwell took out most of the really egregious plot copying, but a few remnants of Cornwell's imitation of "The Virginia Ghost Murders" still remain in the final published edition of Cornwell's novel. The Cornwell lawyers, however, developed a plan to crush me into total silence before the book came out, plus enrich themselves for several hundred thousand dollars out of Cornwell's pocket. On 1 February 2000, Cornwell's New York lawyer Michael Rudell, faxed me an extortion letter that he wrote for Cornwell, and which he knew Cornwell would enjoy. This Cornwell extortion letter demanded total silence from me, and threatened me with a neo-Nazi style book-burning of my books, if I did not apologise and agree to be silent about anything that even "implied" criticism of Cornwell, and threatened legal action if I did not submit. I replied strongly, telling Cornwell and her lawyers to take their Nazi threats and shove them up their butts. I have some partly Jewish heritage and the book-burning threats were extremely offensive to me, given the role of book-burning in the Nazi Holocaust. Precisely because it was such a Nazi thing to do, these Nazi-style book-burning threats were extremely delightful to Patricia Cornwell, to her greedy lawyers, and to the Jew-hating Federal Judge Robert Payne that they bribed a few weeks later. In order to protect myself against Cornwell and her goons, I started publicizing the Cornwell extortion threats. I issued press releases, talked about the threats on the internet, and put a sticker on the published copies of my book denouncing Cornwell. Cornwell's lawyers were the exact same people who had arranged to bribe the judge and buy the false victory for Cornwell in the 1998 lawsuit. The lawyers had seen there, how easily they could manipulate the emotionally disturbed, half-crazy and half-stupid Cornwell, how they could inflame controversy and then milk Cornwell for money. Cornwell's lawyer Conrad Shumadine bragged to another lawyer that Cornwell is "a totally stupid lesbian whore" and that he could "milk that bitch like a fat fucking cow." The lawyers then maneuvered Cornwell so they could cork her for several hundred thousand dollars. In March of 2000 they contacted the submissive reporter at the Times-Dispatch, Bill McKelway, and dictated the phony article to him, which was dutifully splashed on the front page of the right-wing newspaper and on the internet. The article fabricated by McKelway printed made-up quotations, putting words in my mouth. McKelway printed lies, accusing me of publicly claiming that Cornwell was still copying my book, even after she had made the revisions, and obscuring the controversy about the Nazi-style extortion letter. McKelway and the Times-Dispatch thought they were helping Cornwell and the Bush family by printing these lies; they did not quite realize they were helping Cornwell's lawyers to defraud Cornwell herself out of several hundred thousand dollars, pushing Cornwell into a lawsuit in which she wasn't initially interested. The lawyers waved the phony article at Cornwell, and after seeing the phony McKelway article that her lawyers had planted, Cornwell agreed to give them a blank check to spend whatever unlimited money needed to crush and destroy me. In return, the lawyers promised Cornwell that she could enjoy the perverted thrill of the ultimate crime, buying a U.S. federal judge and undermining the Constitution, and banning of another American's freedom of speech, In April of 2000, the lawsuit was filed, demanding the banning of my freedom of speech, and the burning of my books. The bribery of Federal Judge Robert Payne - appointed to office by Cornwell's friend the first President Bush - was all arranged even before I knew about the lawsuit. "Judge Robert Payne is my name, Federal bribery is my game," is the saying among Virginia lawyers. Within minutes after the lawsuit was filed, in a telephone conference call with , using the phony McKelway Times-Dispatch newspaper story as "evidence", the neo-Nazi Judge Payne banned my freedom of speech, and it remains officially banned to this day, on the grounds that my "false opinions" about Cornwell are a violation of the Patricia Cornwell "trademark". The judge went on to stage a brief phony court proceeding that was financed by Cornwell's half million dollars in funds. The judge appointed one of his friends, a known crook named Thomas Roberts, to pose as my lawyer, along with a partner, an actual neo-Nazi from Germany, Tim Schulte, all of them getting Cornwell's money. Judge Payne and Roberts and Schulte invented a fraud, in writing, that Roberts was part of a "First Amendment charity foundation", a so-called "Freedom Works Foundation", which doesn't exist. They put this fraud in written documents, court transcripts, and even posted this fraud on the internet. This one fraud alone is enough to begin the felony indictments of the Cornwell gang and impeach Judge Payne, and send Cornwell herself to prison. In a staged court hearing, with both "sides" of lawyers on Cornwell's payroll, the banning of my freedom of speech and freedom of the press was formalized in writing. Judge Payne ordered the defacing of my books to eliminate mention of Cornwell, and Judge Payne began defacing one of my books himself in the courtroom. I was also ordered to send out letters which destroyed my little publishing company. At this hearing, Patricia Cornwell committed clear felony perjury about the letter she and her lawyer Michael Rudell had faxed, threatening to destroy my books. Cornwell's perjury on that day now leads the list of crimes for Patricia Cornwell faces indictment and many years in prison. With my freedom of speech banned from the first day the lawsuit was filed, all of this was conducted in semi-secrecy, although you can read the transcripts at the courthouse. I was ordered to stay quiet about the phony proceedings, and I was threatened with an illegal jailing, torment and rape in jail, and with being murdered in jail by Cornwell's lawyers, if I didn't keep quiet about everything. Some of the threats of illegal jailing and murder are documented in writing, and these proof documents are held by the FBI and U.S. Attorney. One of Cornwell's thugs later discussed the murder threat in a court hearing, too, while admitting his close relationship with Judge Payne. Lawyers agreed afterwards that these threats were realistic, and that I might indeed have been jailed and murdered, if I didn't escape from America. Some weeks after the fake hearing, Judge Payne and the Cornwell gang announced to me there had been a total victory for Cornwell, and as a "settlement" in the case, I had "agreed" to the banning of my own freedom of speech and freedom of the press for the rest of his life, "agreed" to never appeal these orders, and "agreed" to spend the next several years paying some $100,000 plus 18 per cent interest to Judge Payne's friend, Thomas Roberts, who had helped invent the fake "First Amendment charity foundation". The fraudulent US "court order" banning my freedom of speech is there at the courthouse, with no signature from me, but with the signature of Judge Payne's friend Roberts merely claiming to be my lawyer. A number of months after Patricia Cornwell carried out this court fraud with the bribed Bush appointee Judge Payne, after she had paid for this gang of thugs to threaten to murder me, Cornwell herself evacuated from Virginia, trying to run away from the serious crimes she had committed. The pleasure of buying Virginia judges, and hiring thugs to threaten to illegally jail and kill another writer, proved to be just momentary satisfactions to Cornwell. In Cornwell's tormented brain, things were as bad and anguished as ever, despite the success of committing these federal terror crimes. So Patricia Cornwell, guilty and disturbed, relocated her main residence to the New York area, trying to run away from her own criminal past, hoping it would not catch up with her. But Patricia Cornwell's crimes are slowly catching up with her now. Shortly after her friend George W. Bush became President in January 2001, Patricia Cornwell gave a $1 million gift to the Bushes, in what can be seen as buying additional insurance and protection from the Bush government, so Cornwell wouldn't get prosecuted for her crimes. The Cornwell gift took the form of funding a pet project of Barbara Bush, who is mother of the current President Bush, and wife of the previous one. As a reward for the $1 million dollar gift to the Bushes, Cornwell and her lesbian lover Irene, were invited to come and play for a couple of days with the President Bush family at the Bush family estate in Kennebunkport, Maine. A million dollars was certainly enough for the "born again Christian" Bushes to indulge a little lesbian playtime in their midst. And Cornwell no doubt felt sure that her million dollar gift, was like buying immunity from prosecution at the George Bush Justice Department. With Cornwell's conscience so guilty about her felony crimes of extortion, court fraud and perverting the course of justice, nothing less than a million dollar gift would make Cornwell feel sure she had bought her way out of a possible prison term. History will see if that million dollar gift to the Bushes, bought enough influence to keep Cornwell from getting prosecuted while Bush is in office. For my own remaining time inside America, I wound up discovering how really bad things had gotten in the US legal system. Lawyers themselves face being disbarred or jailed if they file any papers about the bribed judge. With Bush in power, so the lawyers were all afraid of confronting a federal judge who was backed by Cornwell's friends in the Bush government. Even though I had crystal clear written evidence of felony crimes, no lawyer was brave enough to help me, fearing for their own safety if they dared to expose the Cornwell court fraud crimes. Meanwhile, Judge Payne's criminal friends wanted money from me, and they threatened to jail and kill me unless I paid them. Under constant threat of illegal jailing and murder by the Cornwell group, my freedom of speech banned, and with no lawyer to help me, I stayed inside the US for as long as I could, looking for legal help that I never found. Then they came for me, and I was forced to slip into hiding and then escape over the border, to freedom outside the USA. I began a new life as a political refugee in Europe. I exposed the whole Patricia Cornwell court fraud scandal in a 125-count judicial misconduct filing on 3 April 2004. Since that filing, America's federal judges and the George Bush Justice Department have been stalling together on the Cornwell crimes. They were of course careful not to expose the scandal during the Bush 2004 election campaign, and after that have tried to continue stalling. The blatant guilt of federal Judge Payne, selling a phony "foundation" and staging a phony court hearing to illegally ban a writer's freedom of speech, is a hot potato among the federal judges. The scandal has made it all the way to the Supreme Court judicial ethics committee. They have been trying to decide what to do about it, while minimizing the disgrace to the whole American judiciary. It makes the judges nervous, this Patricia Cornwell court fraud scandal, with the federal judge and his pal and their fake "First Amendment charity foundation", crimes carried out for a mentally disturbed celebrity who is friends with the Bush family. This is a scandal that taints the whole federal court system with the image of farce and fraud, and so their strong instinct is to try to sweep the whole thing under the rug. The US government holds complete written evidence with which they could start issuing immediate felony indictments against Patricia Cornwell and her gang. However, major political concerns hold up the prosecution. Patricia Cornwell is not just a drug-using lesbian who has engaged in court fraud and extortion; she is also a friend of the President Bush himself, with Cornwell celebrating her bribery of the Bushes at their family estate. These are important considerations for Bush's friends and his two Attorney Generals John Ashcroft, and now Alberto Gonzales, in charge of both the FBI and the prosecutors. And then there's the FBI agents. Patricia Cornwell has been bribing FBI agents with money, gifts and favours since the early 1990s. The FBI itself acknowledges that Cornwell has gotten stolen documents from FBI offices. And yet Cornwell has maintained free access to the Virginia FBI and its Quantico training headquarters, despite her being a known criminal risk. Cornwell's friends even include an assistant FBI director. There might be a couple of dozen or more FBI agents who've engaged in illegal hanky panky for Cornwell over the years, giving her access and secret law enforcement documents. These Virginia FBI agents, well-coddled and well-bribed by Cornwell, are not thrilled about pursuing a criminal prosecution, that would ultimately lead to exposing their own misconduct with Cornwell as well. FBI agents have mounted criminal attacks on me in Europe, e-mailing computer viruses to me from the FBI's official e-mail account, very likely personal friends of Cornwell from Cornwell's visits to the FBI centre at Quantico. Thus, some FBI agents themselves face criminal charges when the prosecution starts. So the FBI incentive for a cover up is high. Cornwell and her lawyers, the Bush government and the US embassies, are not even trying to deny their crimes of court fraud, extortion, terror, and undermining the Constitution. The FBI doesn't deny they have proof of these crimes, either. Yet money and political connections can delay justice, and Cornwell has both. In their favour as well, is the fact that the major media companies, are now so submissive to the Bush regime and to the US government. And Cornwell herself, the famous author, is precisely the symbol of how the media corruption is directly tied to the US government. The scandal of Patricia Cornwell, is the scandal of the big media and publishing companies, and how they help the US to start wars. So the big media companies also have incentive to cover up for the crimes of Cornwell, as Cornwell is one of their own creatures, a tool and whore for transferring money from the media companies to the Bushes and to US politicians. The Cornwell crimes and court fraud are so clear that the information on the Cornwell crimes has been requested from me by White House Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald, who recently indicted the Bush-Cheney aide Scooter Libby. Prosecutor Fitzgerald is backed by the CIA and is a political operator for the US corporate interests. He is there as a safety valve, to start issuing indictments of people connected with Bush, when there is enough political pressure to make that desirable. Fitzgerald can issue indictments in the Cornwell case in minutes, if he feels there is political gain to do so. But with the big media corporations covering up for Cornwell's crimes, Fitzgerald is quiet for the moment, though he has everything he needs. Patricia Cornwell, high on drugs and drink and money and power, probably spends most of the time thinking she is going to get away with everything. At other times, she likely thinks about going to prison for many years, and whether she should kill herself first. But whatever happens, Patricia Cornwell will always be able to boast of the thrilling fact, that she pulled off one of the biggest crimes ever committed in the USA legal system. Hilariously blatant court fraud, buying a fake trial, bribing a US federal judge, attacking the United States Constitution, banning another American's freedom of speech and freedom of the press, and forcing her victim to escape from America and take political refuge in Europe under threat of being jailed and murdered. Along with Cornwell's other past crimes against so many other people, these are pretty impressive felonies for a redneck girl from a small town in North Carolina. Cornwell likely gets all hot and excited thinking about the Bush White House, the bribed federal judges, and the FBI and Attorney General servicing her and covering up for her crimes. Not many other criminals can brag about felonies like these. Patricia Cornwell is now forever in the big time. Her novels will fade, she may get indicted, Cornwell may kill herself in her mental torment; but she will always remain one of America's biggest celebrity criminals.
